7-9 November 2025 | A Sweet Autumn Hike from Mount Tahtalı to Eastern Lycia
The southern region of Anatolia, known as the Lycian coast, awaits us with a blend of natural beauty and history. The Lycian Way, Turkey’s first long-distance hiking trail, stretches between Antalya and Fethiye. Covering approximately 550 km, this marked trail passes through some of the most scenic and trekking-friendly areas in the region. Since completing the entire Lycian Way in one go is quite a demanding and lengthy journey, visitors usually explore its most captivating sections or opt for long-term travel plans, walking different parts over time.
In this specially designed tour, we have crafted a short yet immersive itinerary, showcasing some of the most stunning parts of the Lycian Way. Our route extends from Ulupınar to Karaöz, passing through breathtaking natural formations. For those who prefer, there is also an option to ascend Tahtalı (Olympos) Mountain, the highest point in the region at 2,365 meters.
This tour will take you through pine forests, ancient city trails, alpine zones above 2,000 meters, and the picturesque Mediterranean coast. You may have seen the region’s magnificent landscapes before, but this time, we invite you to become part of them and truly experience their beauty.
From mountain passes offering panoramic views of the entire region to trails that dive into forests and emerge at lighthouses by the sea—this short yet fulfilling tour has it all. Designed for both excitement and relaxation, this adventure is tailored just for you.

We will meet participants arriving at Antalya Airport in the morning. After a brief introduction with our team, we will head west towards Ulupınar Village, where we will have lunch and make our final preparations for the hike. This charming village, known for its waterfalls, offers a perfect setting for relaxation before we start our journey.
After lunch, we will hike along the Ulupınar Stream, gradually ascending towards Chimera (Yanartaş). The zigzag trails among pine trees will lead us to a fascinating natural phenomenon: flames emerging from the rocks for centuries, believed to be the origin of the Olympic torch legend. From here, we will descend through ancient ruins and reach the site entrance before arriving at our cozy hotel for the evening.
After breakfast, those opting for the summit hike will transfer to Upper Beycik. The ascent begins on forested trails, with our first break at Emzik Spring. The trail then climbs steeply in zigzags through rugged terrain. Reaching a pass, we will take another break before heading southwest towards the summit massif, passing through karst sinkholes known as dolines.
At the summit, we will take a well-deserved break to admire the breathtaking panoramic views of ancient Lycia and Pamphylia. Standing atop one of the largest massifs rising directly from sea level, we will then descend via cable car and return to our hotel for rest.
After breakfast, the trekking group will transfer to Çıralı to begin the day’s hike. Walking along the scenic Çıralı Beach, we will gradually ascend Musa Mountain on easy trails. This forest, one of the most beautiful in the region, provides plenty of shade. The upper parts feature an impressive population of sandalwood trees before we reach the highest points of Musa Mountain.
Following a picnic break, we will descend towards Adrasan, passing through orange groves before reaching the beach. After a short vehicle transfer, we will arrive at our accommodation, with free time in the afternoon to relax and enjoy the beach.
We will start the day with a fresh morning and a short 25-minute transfer to the trailhead in Adrasan. Today will be one of the most scenic and rewarding hikes, featuring spectacular coastal views.
Our route will take us to Gelidonya Lighthouse, offering breathtaking vistas of the Mediterranean. From there, we will descend along a dirt road leading to Karaöz, where we will meet our vehicle for the transfer to Antalya Airport.
In Eastern Lycia, this is our favorite place to stay. Each of our rooms can be thought of as a home or suite. We wanted to make you feel at home in your cottage during this carefully designed, comfortable tour. If you wish, you can prepare your own dinner in your kitchen and enjoy a beautiful Lycian evening on your veranda. Welcome to another one of our unique accommodations that makes our tours special.

Recommended Items to Bring & Our Suggestions
Travel Bag: You should bring a sufficiently large bag to carry your belongings during intercity travel.
We have an important request from you on this matter: please do not bring hard-shell suitcases to nature tours. These types of bags create problems when loading into vehicles, carrying around the campsite, or when you want to take them into the tent. Any kind of soft sports bag, backpack, or hand bag other than these types of hard bags are suitable for this trip.
Backpack: It is important that it is large enough to hold the items you will need during the activity you will participate in during the day. We do not recommend carrying items in your hand or hanging them on the outside of the backpack during nature walks. Therefore, medium-sized backpacks with a volume of around 35 – 45 liters are most suitable for such activities.
Rain cover, which is now standard in many backpacks, is also an important detail needed in rainy weather. If your backpack does not have a rain cover, it is recommended to obtain one.
A Suitable and Sturdy Pair of Hiking Boots: For your health, please do not walk long distances on rough terrain with flexible and soft-soled shoes. If you are a regular hiker, we recommend that you get a pair of sturdy and orthopedic-soled hiking boots designed for trekking.
Let us remind you that waterproofing is a desired feature in hiking boots during rainy seasons.
Spare Sports Shoes: To be comfortable during travel and to use as spare shoes after hikes, we recommend bringing an extra pair of shoes that can be left in the vehicle or camp during our walking tours.
Swimsuit: In our autumn and spring tours, there will still be a chance to swim as the air and sea temperatures will still be suitable.
Socks: It is always more comfortable and healthier to walk with synthetic trekking socks with reinforced soles and toes. We recommend carrying an extra pair of socks in all walks.
Gloves – Beanie: During cold periods, it is important to have gloves and a beanie with you. In nature tours, beanies designed to cover the ears should be…
