A well organized weekend ski touring trip is on the stage this winter We have organized a winter climb to Erciyes, the highest mountain of Central Anatolia, on mountain skis and split boards. This climbing is a rigorous ski climbing activity in the wild beauty of the mountains. Requires mastery of alpine skiing skills as well as mountaineering knowledge and experience. After the winter climbing season begins when the Central Anatolian mountains are covered with snow, the majestic Erciyes Mountain can be climbed with skis until the end of spring. We invite you to try one of the most beautiful alpine ski ascents of the winter season.
Mt.Erciyes, with a height of 3916 m, is the highest mountain in the Central Anatolia region and one of the largest volcanoes in Turkey. It is one of our top pick-ıp – especially for being short and enjoyable- which provides a demanding ski ascent just at any weekend. We recommend this climb to the ones who have experienced alpine touring, are proficient in using ice-axe and crampon. Participants shall have minimum basic level winter mountaineering and camping pre-experiences. It should be noted that this climb is a key activity for those who want to raise the bar and dream for steeper climbs in high mountains.
This trip is winter camping on one hand. Our camp is just in the heart of Erciyes, in the camp spot known as Çobanini. We will reach the summit by using one of the many alternative routes depending on the snow, weather and the physical condition of our group. We generally prefer the Devil’s Couloir. It is worth remembering that it is with-no-other-word a ski mountaineering activity.
The most impressive moment of this climb is undoubtedly that moment when we see the surrounding mountains from the summit! Then we will ski down the huge face of Erciyes. If you like mountain ski adventures, this activity is for you!

IMPORTANT NOTICE: We do our climbing and ski trips to Erciyes mostly by staying in the rescue cabin located near the last station of the chair lifts instead of the camp. Thus, we carry much less weight and become light. Our accommodation here may vary depending on availability. Before the climb, our participants will be informed about this during the reservation, confirmation and preparation process.
