We are starting a new series of events in Aladağlar, the capital of mountaineering in our country. For those who want to fully experience Aladağlar, those preparing for major expeditions, and those who are motivated by climbing several peaks in a week rather than short climbs, we are visiting a different region during each climbing week. We establish our base camps with the difference of MONTIS for your safety and comfort. Now, you can focus solely on climbing. Then come successive climbs, peaks…
Why Aladağlar?
When it comes to mountaineering, the first region that comes to mind is undoubtedly the unique area of the Taurus Mountains, Aladağlar. The region, which has become like our home, offers mountains and routes that allow for all types of climbing activities. Instead of peaks where you can drive right to the base, this unique geography requires effort, is isolated, and offers the wild feeling of the mountains.
In this climbing tour, we have chosen the Dipsiz Göl Camp site, from where you can access the routes of the giant peaks of Aladağlar. We establish our main camp at this final point where Büyük Cımbar Valley opens into the embrace of the mountains. You can easily reach our camp with a simple trekking activity, carrying only your daily load aside from your trekking backpack. Afterwards, we present you with a menu of classic routes of the region. You can also consider this event as a developmental activity in mountaineering. Each day you will gain new mountain experiences and there will be new training every day with our experienced mountain leaders. You may not want to climb all the selected mountains; our main camp is at your service to enjoy the mountains. We have already included a rest day in the program where you can sip your coffee facing the peaks in the heart of the mountain, read your book, and cool off in Dipsiz Göl.
You should see this tour as a special, careful, and different climbing activity where you can receive exclusive mountain leadership and guiding services.
For those who do not feel ready for this climb, we are also ready to provide training and consultancy. Please contact us for these needs. We recommend you to act quickly for reservations. Announced to those who want to experience high mountains and steep peaks with careful and competent mountain leaders.

Recommended Personal Equipment List:
Backpack: It should be large enough to carry the necessary items for the activity. We do not recommend carrying items in your hands or outside the backpack during camping climbs and winter activities. Therefore, trekking/mountaineering backpacks with a volume of around 55-65 liters are most suitable for such activities.
Rain Cover for Backpack: Many backpacks now come with standard rain covers, which are essential in rainy weather. If your backpack doesn’t have a rain cover, we recommend getting an extra one.
Sturdy Hiking Boots: It’s important for your health not to walk in flexible and soft-soled shoes for long periods in rugged terrain. If you’re a steady hiker, we recommend getting sturdy, orthopedic hiking boots designed for hiking. For winter climbs, we strongly recommend wearing mountaineering boots with adequate insulation, as rigid as possible, and with a stiff collar.
Spare Sports Shoes: It’s recommended to bring an extra pair of shoes for comfort during travel and to leave in the vehicle after hiking.
Socks: It’s always more comfortable and healthier to walk with synthetic trekking socks with reinforced soles and toe tips. We recommend carrying a spare pair of socks on all hikes. Woolen and cotton clothes are not very suitable for outdoor activities as they do not dry easily when wet. Mountaineering and skiing socks suitable for winter should be used.
Gloves – Hat: It’s important to have a pair of gloves (inner, middle, outer shell, and/or insulated gloves) and a hat during cold periods. In outdoor tours, hats covering your ears are preferred. Please don’t forget to bring backups in case they get wet. The hat can be supplemented with a buff, headband, and balaclava.
Hat: We recommend having a hat with a visor, preferably one that also protects your neck from the sun, in all seasons. Bandanas and buffs are also recommended for use instead of or in addition to hats throughout the year.
Raincoat / Technical Jacket: We especially recommend using lightweight, breathable, and highly waterproof raincoats/anoraks. Anoraks should always be with you during autumn-winter season hikes.
Polar Jacket and Warm Clothing: We recommend polar jackets and half-zip polar sweatshirts as they are lightweight and do not tend to retain moisture, making them suitable for outdoor activities.
Underwear: Please have at least one set of synthetic or semi-synthetic underwear and wear it.
Food and Beverages: Lunch is not included in this activity. We recommend bringing practical snacks. For hiking tours, we recommend carrying 1.5-2 liters of water. Sugary drinks are not recommended as they can increase dehydration over time. Depending on your preference, you can also bring some of your drinks in a thermos as a hot beverage. We especially recommend bringing hot drinks during autumn-winter seasons.
Thermos: We recommend carrying a plastic or preferably steel thermos with you, as long as it is not made of glass. This way, you can carry hot drinks with you during activities away from the campsite.
Headlamp / Flashlight: Since the days are short during winter hikes, always be prepared for evening darkness with your headlamp/flashlight. A headlamp is an essential item that should always be in our backpacks during summer and winter.
Camera: We recommend bringing a camera with spare film or memory card and batteries on our tours. If you expect to pass through wet environments or rainy weather, don’t forget to take the necessary precautions to protect your camera.
Sunglasses: Sunglasses with UV protection are preferred for outdoor activities. Sunglasses are particularly important on snowy winter days, as they are the only protection against retinal burns or snow blindness due to excessive radiation.
Sunscreen, Moisturizers, and Lipstick: We recommend sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 45 for all seasons.
First Aid and Medications: MONTIS Trips & Expeditions guides always carry comprehensive first aid kits. All of our tour leaders have International Wilderness First Aid (ECSI) certification. However, it is recommended that you always carry your regularly used medications and a small personal first aid kit with you.
For more information on the selection of materials to be brought to our activities, you can always call us.
Environmental Note: We do not leave any trash or permanent marks in nature, so remember that everything you bring for hiking tours should be taken back after use. To transport your waste back, you can bring a small trash bag or use empty plastic bags to put your trash in.
Necessary Technical Equipment to Bring:
All provided by our company
Climate:
Considering the winter season, we recommend that our participants be prepared for sudden weather changes and unpredictable heavy rainfall.
Warnings:
Do not bring any excess items that you will not use in the mountains.
You can also obtain hot drinks and water from the camp kitchen. If you have a plastic or steel thermos, you can carry hot drinks on hikes.
Except for small additions, you do not need to bring food to the camp.
In activities where there is no chance of deposit, it is always recommended to carry your money and valuables with you in a suitable way.
